On Thursday 1st June Jamison Gibson Park visited the school to speak to the children about playing for Leinster and Ireland. He told us what it was like growing up in New Zealand, playing lots of different sports as a child and why he loves rugby. He spoke about how to handle pre game nerves and how to cope when your team loses. "‘Be where your feet are’" he said: a way to really engage in the present moment.
Jamison brought the Triple Crown trophy and the Six Nations trophy for the children to see.
It was a wonderful morning and we are so grateful to Jamison for taking time out of his busy schedule to speak to us all. We wish him and all the Irish rugby team the very best of luck in the upcoming World Cup!
