This month the theme in Junior Infants has been houses and homes. We have been talking about what we need to build a house, the different rooms in a house and how we keep our houses warm. We tried to build houses just like the three little pigs built and then tested their stability using Mrs. Duffy's hairdryer!
We thought lots about how to help around the house and even tried to wash dishes and do some ironing. Some of us washed the baby doll, changed a nappy and got the baby dressed. We made houses using lollipop sticks and also role-played at the building site.
We are continuing to work on our phonics and are all trying so hard at reading cvc words. We planted some bulbs with our 6th class buddies too.
What a busy month!
