The PTA once again organised the annual Taney readathon, where the children read as many books as they could to raise money for the school. The PTA would like to thank the community for supporting our fantastic readers and because of their amazing work we raised €6,640 for the school which will be used to buy new books for the class libraries.
The children did an amazing job and congratulations to the participants who won an Easons book voucher in our readathon raffle. We finished off the readathon by celebrating world book day. This was a fantastic day where both children and staff dressed up as their favourite book characters and took part in a parade around the school.
Well done to all our super readers, some of whom can be seen here reading in lots of extraordinary places!!
