Second class have had a busy September with lots of fantastic learning taking place.
We have been enjoying gymnastics with Andy this term and improving our skills. We explored signs of autumn in our school grounds and noticed lots of plants and insects living in the grounds. In Art we learnt about primary and secondary colours and created beautiful colour wheels using paint and then colour matching with different fabrics and fibre. Third class children came to visit to explain what Picker Pals is and already quite a few second class pupils have collected rubbish in their local area. We had great fun exploring the book The Dead Zoo by Peter Donnelly, mapping out a museum and then making museums using lego in the Innovation Room. We also had fun retelling the story using puppets we made. We are also very grateful for our new class books, and had a book picnic in class where we had the chance to browse through all of our new titles.
We are all very excited to see what we will be learning in October!
